Bed bugs are parasitic insects of the cimicid family, they feed exclusively on blood. Cimex lectularius, the common bed bug, is the best known, as it prefers to feed on human blood. They can quickly spread if not detected and treated early enough; they cause loss of business, goodwill and reputation in a lot of businesses, and the economic impact can be very costly; early detection and treatment is essential.

Inspection / Spread Prevention

 

Our first visit to your premises is the carry out a proper site survey; the primary purpose of the inspection is to have a complete understanding of the problem, including the extent of infestation, collect evidence to accurately identify the pest(s) correctly

To treat bed bugs effectively early detection is key to achieving the desired results and be cost effective; At Keensbury Environmental, we use a combination of approaches which includes Visual Inspection and Canine Inspection.

 

Visual Inspection- Our highly trained Pest Technicians inspects every cracks and crevices including mattresses, behind picture frames on the wall, furniture etc  for signs of bed bugs, we carry out a thorough search to ensure that every trace is detected.

 

We look for signs like:-

• Live or dead bed bugs
• Skins cast off during the moulting process
• Small spots of reddish-black faecal material
• Tiny cream-colored eggs usually found in dark crevices

Treatment

 

We employ an Integrated Pest Management Systems (IPMS) to treat your premises. We are constantly innovating and developing through science and technology, looking for new ways to responsibly and effectively treat your properties for bed bugs. Our three stage process is to Inspect, Treat and Monitor coupled with treatments are robust and flexible enough to be tailored to your needs to deal with your pest issues.

 

Monitor / Recommendations

 

Once the treatment program has been completed; we inspect and monitor your premises on a regular basis. We will recommend the best course of action to take post treatment and advice on what to look out for, you will have a designated pest technician who you can talk to any time with any concern you may have.
